Boko Haram gunmen have KIDNAP 20 women

CRUEL! BOKO HARAM GUNMAN NOW KIDNAP 20 WOMEN –

THE 20 WOMEN ALL FORCED IN CARS TO UNKNOWN DESTINATION

Nigeria: Gunmen Abduct 20 Fulani Women From Community Near Chibok

Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) – Suspected Boko Haram gunmen have abducted 20 women from a nomadic settlement near Chibok, the town in Nigeria’s northern state of Borno where over 200 school girls
were abducted by the group about two months ago, the private Leadership newspaper reported Monday, quoting security sources.

The paper said the women were taken away last Thursday when the gunmen invaded their settlement and forced them to enter their vehicles in which they were driven away to an unknown destination.

It quoted the vigilantes and local hunters deployed to the area to protect schools as saying the gunmen came when the men in the community were not around

The three young men they met there could not help the women, as the gunmen also ordered the three of them to enter the Hilux vans and took all of them away,” said one of the vigilante officials, Alhaji Tar, who returned to the capital city of Maiduguri from Chibok only on Sunday, hence the delay in relaying the news of the abduction.

“We tried to go after them when the news got to us about three hours later, but the vehicles we have could not go far and the report came to us a little bit late,” he added.

Despite assistance from an international coalition that includes the US, UK, Israel and France, Nigeria has yet to rescue the school girls who were kidnapped from their school in Chibok.

Boko Haram, which claimed responsibility for the girls’ abduction, has said it will only release them in exchange for its members who are being detained by the government.

PANA reports that the federal government has ruled out any prisoner swap.
