NIGERIA 2015: Group vow to pick up N19.5m nomination form

►A group, House2House for Democracy, has vowed to pay for President Goodluck Jonathan’s nomination form at the national secretariat of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, so he could contest the 2015 presidential election.

►Director-General, House2House for Democracy, Ogidi Ben Bara, said the decision was made to spur Mr. President’s ambition and declaration for re-election in 2015.

Bara said: “The women wing of House to House campaign organisation, who have been in the Chat212 of calling on Mr. President to declare for the race in 2015, had also resolved to contribute and pay for the nomination form of President Jonathan.

“We have more than a 100,000 women and they have resolved to contribute N19. 5 million to buy a nomination form for Mr. President.
“This is a demonstration of their passionate commitment to the re-election of President Jonathan, and we will soon deposit that money at Wadata Plaza to assist the President make up his mind quickly and join the race for re-election.”

According to him, the group had declared Mr. President wanted, because majority of Nigerians are keen to massively vote for him for another four-year term, and also for him to continue his transformation agenda.
