►Job Title: Deputy Head, Strategy and Corporate Planning

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Strategic Planning:
Assists in championing the strategy formulation and execution, developing and coordinating the annual strategic planning process and corporate planning initiatives
Leads in implementing the strategy of the company, focus towards maximizing market share, shareholders wealth and increasing profit by translating strategic objectives into practical plans and goals.
Drives the implementation of assigned strategic initiatives for the company.
Champions the formulation of appropriate corporate policies across all market/business segments
Assists in defining operational parameters/performance indicators from which corporate performance will be measured on an ongoing basis.
Assists the Heads of the various business units in identifying organic inorganic growth opportunities.
Responsible for first level data gathering, analysis and business contact in areas relating to possible inorganic growth opportunities across various businesses
Provides overall guidance and direction in the execution of the Corporate Planning work programs and plans
Ensures alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the Corporate Planning Department and the Company as a whole
Liaise with all divisions, groups, and units to facilitate the collation of predefined performance information for business planning and monitoring
Coordinate new business development opportunities, evaluate potential partners and conduct preliminary due diligence and analysis of emergent companies and partners.
Coordinate the development of departmental and divisional plans and facilitate departmental processes and procedures.
Guide and monitor the implementation of departmental and divisional plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
Create key performance metrics for execution of business planning and strategy development for existing products and businesses, including market analysis, revenue planning and activity forecasting.
Manage relationships with external partners and potential partners; researching opportunities and selecting the most appropriate to be developed; creating and implementing realistic business plans; coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Contribute to STI's strategic budget planning cycle, aligning business-unit plans and budgets with corporate goals, objectives and priorities.
Market Intelligence & Investment Analysis
Facilitates and oversees the integration of financial information, customer knowledge, trends and strategy for the purpose of forecasting revenue and cost trends of the business.
Supervises continual analysis of internal and external environmental factors influencing the business
Provides results of analysis to management as premise for defining organizational strategic goals & objectives and identifying new business growth opportunities etc.
Provides advice to management on market trends, competitive actions, macroeconomic factors, corporate structuring and expansion.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Good knowledge of financial markets and financial services industry
Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis and reporting
Strong business analytical and strategic planning skills
High proficiency in use of IT-based business tools
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team building skills
High moral and ethical values
Good oral communication and writing skills
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Negotiation skills
Qualifications
First degree or its equivalent in any discipline
4-7 years relevant experience in strategy, corporate planning and development at least two (2) of which must have been at middle management/supervisory level.
Previous experience in management consulting or prior corporate strategy background will be an advantage.
An MBA from a top business school will be an advantage.
