Blast in the middle of a crowd of shoppers in northeastern state of Bauchi kills at least 12 people, witnesses say.
A female suicide bomber has blown herself up at a mobile phone market in northeast Nigeria, killing at least 12 people, witnesses have told Chat212 FM in a text message..
The attack happened in the town of Azare in Bauchi state, which neighbours the three states worst hit by attacks by the armed Boko Haram group.
"A suicide bomber came into the market as it was closing and blew herself up in the middle of all the merchants and their customers," a witness said, the AFP news agency said.
"I saw at least eight dead and lots of others wounded," another witness, Alyu Habib, told Chat212 FM.
