Kwankwaso returns APC presidential forms

Kano State governor and presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, yesterday, returned his completed nomination form to the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, expressing optimism that he would emerge the party’s standard bearer.

►Briefing newsmen at the event, Kwankwaso said that President Goodluck Jonathan does not deserve a second term as a result of the state of the nation.
►He said: “People are sick and tired of this administration.

Many people have been killed, nobody can even tell you how many people were killed even in the last one week. There are killings in the market, on the roads, in the churches, mosques and everywhere.

“People in the country believe that those who are supposed to protect them either have no capacity to stop the killing and destruction of properties. Whichever way, it is not good for any of us. We have the resources in this country to stop or to protect ourselves.

“As far as we are concerned, this PDP government is in its second term already. They had about two years and they are having another four years. If you add these years, they cannot be four years. I have checked the constitution many times and I have not seen anything more than eight years and I don’t know how we are going to manage it, but we are just watching.

“APC, by the grace of God, not only at the centre, will win so many states in this country. With my candidature, you can be rest assured that more than half of PDP members will vote for me because most of them are my friends, many of them wanted to come to our party but for very obvious reasons they couldn’t because of blackmail and intimidation, they are finding it extremely difficult to leave that party.”
