The chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Badagry Branch, Chief Chris Okoye said that the Federal Government has been overwhelmed by the gun power of the insurgents for two years and has not proffered a feasible solution in solving it.
Speaking at the 2014 Law week of the Badagry branch of the NBA at Rockview Hotel, Festac Town Lagos, with theme: ‘Terrorism: Threat to Human Rights – The Nigerian experience’, Okoye noted that the government should realise that lives and property are always lost whenever terrorists strike.
According to him, the employment of military force in the suppression of the insurgency has not yielded the desired result and is needed for a change of tactics and approach.
