Speaking at the retreat held at the staff clinic, Alausa, Ikeja, Commissioner for the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mrs, Florence Oguntuase, said the retreat would afford the staff a better understanding of their responsibilities for improved performance.
According to Oguntuase, Lagos State was recognized as the best in pension matters, stressing that the state had approved the payment of the three years arrears of 142 percent pension increase, 15 percent and 6 percent increment in order to better the welfare of pensioners.
She said “welfare packages were given to our pensioners who are 70 years and above. A pre-retirement training was also organized for those who are retiring on acquired skill; new software was developed for the office by Lagos State Resident Registration Agency, LASRRA in order to meet with the new development in the service.”
