Supporters Kick As Plot To Sack Lagos APC Chair Thickens

All Progressives Congress (APC) Plot To Sack Chairman
Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly plotting to remove the chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the party, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale,
for failing to deliver his local government, Oshodi-Isolo, to the party in the last general elections.

Investigations by PM News showed that a woman in the party and a former Commissioner in the state are the brains behind the alleged plot to unseat the chairman.

The state commissioner is said to be scheming to become the chairman of Lagos APC while the woman and Ajomale are not best of friends. So, they are taking opportunity of the fact that the party lost Oshodi-Isolo to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general elections as a basis to unseat him.

It was reliably gathered that the woman leader has the intention of fielding her own candidate to be Ajomale’s successor.

However, supporters of the Chairman are resisting this move, arguing that he deserves to be commended for leading the party to victory in the elections, rather than being removed.

In the last general elections, APC candidates lost the two state Assembly seats, the second Federal Constituency seat and the presidential polls to the PDP in the local government.

Even Ajomale’s son, Ladi, lost in his bid to represent the Oshodi-Isolo State Constituency 2 in the state Assembly to the PDP candidate who is from the southeastern part of Nigeria.

The party was only able to win the Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1.

Last week, an APC chieftain, Chief Ayo Akande, had asked Ajomale to resign with immediate effect over his dismal performance at the 2015 elections.
