APC Change Has Begun: APC Sacks Party Chairman For Embezzling Buhari’s Donations
The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ebonyi state chapter, Hon Ben Nwobash, has been sacked by the state working committee (SWC) of the party over alleged fraudulent dealings.

According to Leadership, the allegations of fraud leveled against Hon Ben Nwobashi include the embezzling of funds donated to the party by the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar among other leaders of the party for equipping the party’s state secretariat.
It is also said that the state chairman refused to utilise the funds for the purpose they were donated but rather used them to commence a building project in the state
Briefing journalists in Abakaliki, the spokesperson for the committee and state publicity secretary, Hon Ngaji Nwodo said the committee arrived at its decision yesterday May 6, after passing a vote of no confidence on the Hon. Nwobashi-led executives and then elected the deputy chairman, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze as the new chairman.
Similarly, the state secretary, Pastor Victor Elem, the state treasurer, Hon Alloy Nwibo and financial secretary, Mr. Ignatius Chima, were also fired over alleged negligence of office, gross misconduct and fraudulent activities.
Others involved include Mr. Ernest Nwaze, the state welfare secretary and Mr. Anthony Eze, the assistant state secretary.
Meanwhile, president-elect, Mahammadu Buhari has warned elected officials under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to guard against making bogus promises they cannot fulfill.
The president elect counseled that it is better to promise small things and deliver than to make bogus promises that cannot be fulfilled.
