Buhari Set To Unveil His Government’s Policy To All Nigerians — Former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, Is The ….

The Muhammodu Buhari–led administration is to unveil its policy for the country during a two-day policy dialogue holding in Abuja on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Premium Times, the event titled – Implementing Change: From Vision to Reality, will be chaired by Vice President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo and Former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, is the keynote speaker.

Making known details of the event to journalists in Abuja on Monday, May 18, the All Progressives Congress said the programme was being organised by the Policy, Research and Strategy Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The party said the event was to identify the roadmap for the actualisation of the policies of the incoming administration. It named core areas of focus in the two-day dialogue to include the economy, governance, job creation and security in line with the APC manifesto for change.

According to Bolaji Abdullahi, the deputy head of the directorate and former minister of youth and sports, topics for discussion at the event will include: “Improving the National Economy for Shared Prosperity”; “Repositioning Agriculture for Job Creation and Economic Prosperity”; “Developing Infrastructure for National Development”; “Achieving Sustainable Reforms on Oil/Gas Sector.

Others are: “Reducing Inequality and Achieving Sustainable Human Development”; “Achieving Holistic and Sustainable Reforms in the Education Sector”; “Developing and Education System Relevant to Nigeria’s Developmental Aspiration”; “Achieving Qualitative and Affordable Healthcare,”among others.

Muhammadu Buhari who won the March 28 presidential election after his fourth trial has appealed to Nigerians not to expect instant miracles from his government to fix all the problems facing the country, but to be patient and supportive, saying he will need enough time to address the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-east and other challenges confronting the nation.
