Buhari Asks Senate To Approve 15 Aides
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday wrote to the Senate asking for approval to appoint 15 Special Advisers.
The request was contained in a letter read in the Senate on Tuesday by the Senate President, David Mark.
The President, who said the 15 Special Advisers will help him to carry out his functions as President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, said his request was in accordance with the constitution of Nigeria.
However, the names of the persons to be appointed were not read on the floor of the Chamber by the Senate President.
P.M.NEWS could not confirm whether the names were included in the letter as at the time of writing this report.
Before he read the letter, the Senate President had congratulated the President, Vice President Yemi Osibajo and governors who were sworn into office last Friday, urging them to obey the rule of law in all their endeavours.
