Soccer’s world governing body, FĂ©dĂ©ration Internationale de Football Association, (FIFA) will elect a new president on February, 26, 2016.
FIFA made the announcement via its Twitter page on Monday, July 20, 2015
According to a report on BBC, candidates for the position will have to be nominated before October, 26.
A drama will however occur as a British comedian interrupted a press conference by FIFA president Sepp Blatter throwing paper money in front of Blatter just as he was about to speak.
As Blatter says he will not stand in new FIFA election
The 79-year-old Blatter was about to give details of a special election for a new president when he was interrupted by Simon Brodkin who was immediately taken away by security guards.
The press conference was halted for a few minutes while the paper was cleaned up before Blatter returned and blamed the incident on “a lack of education”.
