Nigeria Air Force Intercepts Boko Haram Fuel Depot And Other Smuggled Items
Through intensified and persistent efforts in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram Terrorists, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intercepted over 4,000 drums and jerry cans of petroleum products including other smuggled items.
This items were suspected to be supplies meant for the Boko Haram terrorists. the items were all confiscated from the smugglers. The route they are using include Pepe, Dashin-Hausa, Belel Bilachi, and Konkul villages, all this route are located along the Nigeria-Cameroon Borders.
The items were reported to have been confiscated on Tuesday, 28 July 2015 during a raid by the Nigerian Air Force on the areas.
The NAF was able to achieve the recent feat through its air patrol activities, covering both land and water, along the Nigeria-Cameroon boarders.
It was in reports that the Nigerian Air Force has continued to locate and destroy Boko Haram camps and also their resupplies, this was achieved by employing surveillance and combat aircraft, and it has yielded a lot of positive result.
According to the Intelligence gathered, it was revealed that the efforts of the Nigerian Air Force have greatly strained the supply of the Boko Haram, and also the Nigerian Air Force Director of Public Relations, Air Commodore Dele Alonge stated that the Nigerian Air Force will not relent until the Boko Haram is defeated.
