Suicide Bombers Attack Mosque, 25 Killed
Twenty-five people have been reported killed with dozens injured at a mosque in Yemen’s capital, after suicide bombers targeting shia worshipers struck on Thursday, September 24.
According to witnesses, the blast took place at the Balili mosque where Houthi Shia rebels who control Sana’a go to pray.
Sources say after the first blast went off inside the mosque, another suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt at the entrance of the mosque, just as worshipers rushed outside.
Witnesses say another suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt just as worshipers rushed out of the mosque.
