The new Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was visited at Ile-Ife by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. The ex-president of Nigeria made his courtesy visit on Wednesday, October 28.
Former president Obasanjo was at Ile-Ife on Wednesday, October 28, to pay tribute to the newly crowned Ooni of Ife.
The former president’s visit coincided with the presentation of the new monarch to his people.
During the visit, Obasanjo congratulated the new king and wished him success as he mounts the throne of his ancestors.
It would be recalled that the new Ooni made a triumphant entry into Ife on Wednesday, October 28. This was the first time the newly crowned king would set foot in the town since he was pronounced by the Osun state government.
