The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, (AEDC) the electric distribution company for the FCT, Niger, Kogi and Nassarawa States, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead, Group Account

Location: Abuja

Job Description
►Assist Head General Accountant in the preparation of Group Financial Statements and reports and support external audit activities.

Responsibilities
►Coordinate the posting and documentation of transactions across the business operations and Head office.
►Review business transactions internally to ensure compliance with group policy.
►Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with timetable.
►Ensuring compliance with national financial reporting standard.
►Work with external auditors for the statutory audit of corporate financial reports.
►Ensure effective reconciliation of accounting schedules and manage recurring items.
►Carry out other duties as requested by Head, General Accounts.

Qualifications and Experience
►B.Sc or equivalent in Accounting or Economics
►7 years minimum working experience in financial statement preparations under internal financial reporting standard.
►Strong IT skills
►Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
