JUST IN! DSS Operatives Besiege Former DG’s House, Throw Out His Belongings

The Cable.ng reports have it that some operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have besieged the Ikoyi, Lagos, residence of their former Director-General (DG), Kayode Areh, and have thrown out his belongings.

It is understood that the DSS officers arrived at the residence of their former bus at about 3.00pm in two buses, broke down the doors and threw out his property.

The Cable.ng reports also that a household member of the former DSS boss informed that those who stormed the residence did not produce any legal document before embarking on the action.

Areh was DG of the DSS from 1999 to 2007 under former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and had been asked to quit the house by the new head of the agency, Lawal Daura, but was given till December 31, 2015 to do so.

This was however upturned as the former DG got a court order restraining the DSS from forcefully ejecting him, a development which reportedly led to the action by the operatives.
