To the Service Chiefs - IPOB Says
The Ebonyi State chapter of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said the group is not afraid of Buhari's threat.
Buhari had issued orders to the service chiefs to ensure all security issues in the southeast and the rest of the country are decisively dealt with insisting that Nigeria's unity remains non-negotiable.
Speaking in a statement made available to journalists through the the Deputy Coordinator of the Ebonyi State capital Ugochukwu Nweke, the group said their activities were legal and therefore not scared of Buhari's threat.
Calling attention to Buhari's orders to Service Chiefs and security agencies, he said that the order did not address the issue of necessary for national unity and development.
In his words: “What IPOB is doing is legal and we are not afraid.
“The President should address Boko Haram in the North-East, the unfortunate quit notice by the Arewa youths.
“How to boost the economy and the welfare of citizens in Nigeria.
“He doesn’t have the right to threaten IPOB or any group.”
