In a new development, the rappers bail has been set for the sum of 2 Million Naira with sureties who have landed property in Lagos.
The embattled singer pleaded ‘not guilty’ in the early hours of May 20 to the 11 count charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
It was reported that the Federal High Court that presided in Lagos ordered that Naira Marley should be remanded in prison custody pending the hearing of his bail application.
Recall the rapper alongside Zlatan Ibile and three of their associates were nabbed following their controversial support for fraudulent practices among young Nigerians. It was later revealed that electronic devices belonging to the parties were confiscated during the bust, prompting the agency to launch strict investigations into their activities.
We had earlier reported today that the troubled rapper was likely to get bailed today, following his arrest by EFCC for advanced fee-fraud.
