Boko Haram Attacks Gudunbali, 105 Nigerian Soldiers Missing

Premium Times reports that more than 100 soldiers from the 157 battalion are missing following the severe attack of the Boko Haram insurgents at Gudunbali, Borno state.

One of the sources claims that the militants also seized a T-72 tank as well as numerous artillery arms from the unit.

The military source said: “Gudunbali was attacked this morning and some weapons were captured from the battalion. Two officers and 105 soldiers are still missing.

Just In: 19 Suspected BH Members Arrested In Cameroon

The Cameroonian army has announced that it captured 19 suspected members of the Boko Haram sect.

The Punch reports that the insurgents were nabbed on Monday, November 16, during a ground and air offensive in Ketta, a town in Cameroon’s far north region neighboring Nigeria.

Speaking with journalists on phone, army source confirmed that the ground troops of Cameroonian army launched an operation assisted by air raids on the suspected Boko Haram militants.

Advancing Troops Clear More Boko Haram Camps

The Nigerian army today, November 9, announced that troops from 25 Task Force Brigade have destroyed more camps being used by the terrorist sect Boko Haram.

Air Force Bombards Boko Haram Base In Niger

Niger’s air force has carried out its biggest counter-offensive attack against insurgents in eight months.

New Telegraph reports that the air force attacked a Boko Haram base in the country’s southeast and arrested more than 20 militants on Thursday, November 5.

Troops rescue over 330 women, children held by Boko Haram

Army on Wednesday said it had freed more than 330 people, mostly women and children, from Boko Haram's Sambisa forest stronghold in the volatile northeast.

"The (army) unit ... rescued 338 persons that were held captive by the terrorists," the army said of the Tuesday operation, adding that 192 of the survivors were children and 138 women.
