JAMB: 2019 UTME Results Finally Out?
After a brief meeting the board through his spokeperson noted that it has not released the UTME results due to a probe it is carrying out.
The document, obtained exclusively by PREMIUM TIMES, showed that 48 out of the 136 suspects were arrested in Bauchi during the examination conducted nationwide from April 11 to 19.
Candidates sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), many have been asking “When will the results be out?”

He said the board was cross-checking everything pertaining to the conduct of the examination, including fingerprints of candidates. Prof. Oloyede, who did not list the states the board has so far verified the fingerprints of candidates, said: “We are cross-checking everything, including fingers.
If you know that you have about 1.8 candidates multiplied by ten that is the finger we are talking about. “If you are very close to the National Identity Card Management Commission (NIMC), ask them what it takes to analyse fingerprints in terms of period. “We are combining 1.8 million ten fingers with one another to be sure that we identify people who combine fingers and so on. That is where we are now. “We have done all other and now we have about six states to go. As I speak with you I am at a retreat with those who are doing it. We have about six states to go. We have done 31 states and six states are still not completed now.”

“We would strictly follow the process so that we can get it right. We are less concerned about the time, but (more about) how well and credible (the results become); neither policy meeting nor admission will start this month,” JAMB’s media aide, Fabian Benjamin, had said in response to why the examination body had yet to release the results.
He further said, “Illegality had thrived in the society of over the years because people failed to follow issues to (their) logical conclusion.
“But we have decided to do otherwise, and we need the support of Nigerians to achieve that.”
The delay in the release of the results has made many parents worried as they called on exam board to do the needful.

However, for now, there is no specific date revealed by JAMB for the release of the UTME results but they are expected to be out as soon as the exam body’s investigations into alleged malpractices are concluded?

According to him, the Senate President bought the properties from the Presidential Committee on Sale of Federal Government Landed Properties in Lagos through his companies.
He added that the defendant made a bank draft in the name of TYNITY Company Limited, which he declared in the asset declaration form.
Wetkas noted that when the EFCC investigation team wrote to the presidential committee seeking clarification, the committee said from their records, the only property sold to the company was No. 15 Macdonald Street, Ikoyi.
Wetkas said 75 percent, which amounted to N123.7m was paid for House No. 15 MacDonald Road, Ikoyi, through a bank draft from the account of one of Saraki’s company called Skyview Properties Limited in Access Bank.
