'Mad' Knifeman Stabs 3 School Children To Death

A knifeman stabbed three children to death and wounded five more plus a teacher in a rampage at a Chinese primary school on Monday, reports said, in the country’s latest attack against youngsters.

The attacker killed himself by jumping from a building following the carnage at a school in Shiyan in the central province of Hubei, according to the official news agency Xinhua.

Ebola in PH: FG summons emergency meeting

An emergency National Council on Health, NCH, meeting is holding today in Abuja following the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, outside Lagos.

The meeting will be the third in series since the outbreak of the disease in West Africa.

Boko Haram Forcefully Conscript Youths To Fight Army

Following sustained Boko Haram attacks in the North-Eastern part of the country, thousands of Nigerians have been forced to flee their homes, swamping towns in the north of neighbouring Cameroon, authorities said yesterday. This came as Boko Haram terrorists, for three days, laid siege to Gamboru town, forcefully conscripting youths to fight both the Nigerian and Cameroonian troops. They were said to have killed those who resisted them.

After the three-day attack, 29 persons were killed, while 215 of the youths, who fled to Cameroon to escape the forceful conscription, have recounted their ordeals in the hands of the insurgents.

Cashless: NIMC, Unified Payments partner on National e-ID cards

The cashless policy received a boost last week with the announcement of a partnership between National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and Unified Payments for Processing in the payment application in the new National Electronic ID Card (eID).
