The ongoing fuel scarcity is one of the worst to hit Nigeria in recent years as Nigerians are left queuing at petrol stations for hours all to no avail.

In recent days we have seen banks shut down, radio stations stop broadcasting, flights cancelled, shops locked and top conglomerates join the list of companies in Nigeria groaning under the current scarcity of diesel and other petroleum products.

The appalling situation has left many Nigerians to spend all day at the filling station and resorting to desperate measures all in a bid to get fuel.

In this regard, traffic plays a pivotal role in the citizens’ everyday lives, with Lagos state being hit the most by this ravaging crisis.

The president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, and the controversial minister of petroleum resources Diezani Alison-Madueke, are reportedly connected by her husband Admiral Alison Madueke (rtd).
