Mark Begs Opponent To Withdraw Suit

The immediate past Senate president, Senator David Mark is said to be secretly making moves to persuade his opponent to withdraw the suit before National Assembly election tribunal.

Dan Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress contested the March 28 National Assembly election with Mark, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

However, Mark was returned elected for the fifth time but Onjeh believed that the election was marred with irregularities, Daily Post reports.

Stop Talking Too Much, Concentrate And Govern The Country - Kukah To Buhari

Matthew Hassan-Kukah, prominent cleric and catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to stop talking too much and concentrate on work.

Kukah added that Nigerian leader should not be diverted from what is on ground on account of too much attention on probe.

The cleric said while investigating treasury looters was important, government must place premium on giving the desired governance.

President Buhari Hails Odigie-Oyegun At 76

President Muhammadu Buhari felicitated with chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress as he celebrated his 76th birthday on Wednesday, August 13.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president who said Buhari joined members of the APC national chairman’s family, friends and political associates in celebrating with Oyegun, Nigerian Tribune reports.

JUST IN... 4 Die, As Helicopter Plunges Into Lagoon

A helicopter belonging to Bristow Helicopters with 12 people on board, yesterday, crashed into the Lagoon near the Oworonsoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

According to an eyewitness, the aircraft, marked 5NBGD  was said to be coming from one of the oil rigs in the Escravos area of Delta  State and was said to be heading to Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja when it went down around 3.p.m.
