Couple Name; Tope Akinlabi amd his wife, Mulikat, who were bathed with acid by two men riding on a bike have appealed before Osun State Police Command to ensure that those arrested in connection with the attack on the couple are properly investigated.
Tope, a bank official in Ile Ife and his wife, Mulika, a trader were attacked with acid by two men on Monday December 16 on their way home.
The father of the wife, Mr. Agboola Shuaibu, and mother of the husband, Mrs. Awawu Akinlabi, spoke separately with our correspondent.
Seventy five-year-old Agboola said that the attack on his daughter and her husband was a surprise to many people.
He said, “I am surprised that some people can be this wicked. My daughter and her husband are very good children who would not hurt anybody. I appeal to the police to investigate the case thoroughly and bring those involved to justice. “
Awawu also appealed to the police to carry out a thorough investigation into the case to ensure that those who carried out the attack were duly punished according to the law.
Awawu said, “They should be properly investigated. We want justice done in this case.”
