We are currently looking for a Technical Safety Engineer to join our Deepwater Team in our Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company
(SNEPCO) with potential of travel to global design offices in Far East, Gulf or Mexico and Europe. SNEPCO aspires to develop the capability for front-end development studies/design and project execution for deepwater floating systems, with the support of Shell Group technical Expertise. Responsibilities:
The Technical Safety Officer will be expected to support the completion of technical Safety studies for the design and execute phases of projects.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1.   Technical Studies
-Drive compliance with Ship Collision Studies.
-Implement and maintain Fire, Gas dispersion and explosion analysis.
-Maintain Fire protection and deluge system.
-Coordinate HAZOPS, HAZIDs and HRA.
-Deal with Riser and SSIV risk Assessment.
-Release and exhaust gas dispersion
-Hull Design and security risk studies

2. Human Factor Engineering 
3. Qualitative Risk Assessment

Job Requirements:

Engineering degree or equivalent with 5-10years experience in upstream and or downstream and 3+ years as a member of a deepwater project team in an HSE role. Should have a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering key HSE projects on time, within scope with end-to-end accountability.

· Ideally a strategic thinker with a sense of good judgment.
· Able to deal with multiple, often conflicting goals and priorities.
· Able to build and maintain strong relationships with leaders as well as team members.
· Able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
