Job Description
Overall accountability of ensuring smooth running of assigned machines and taking care of all related maintenance aspect including attending machines breakdowns.
Independently; replacement of Cylinder Seal Kits, Hydraulic hoses, Bucket Teeth, adjustment of bucket seams
Requires minimal supervision.
Includes supervisory and coordination roles.
Able to operate CAT larger excavator sizes e.g. CAT374 DL (3.8m3 sized bucket)
Able to also operate other heavy machinery if required including CAT Dump trucks & Motor Grader
Valid Earth Moving Machine Licence preferred.
Candidate Requirements
Good oral Hindi, basic English is preferable
Capable of working in a team and with Nigerian staff under pressure
Able to ensure preventative maintenance
Worked in an open pit mine before
Working experience in :
Mine Development:
Ramp development, Bench Wall Slope maintaining
Minimize idle time of dumpers at loading point.
Smooth cutting of benches (without blasting) in fractured strata while maintaining floor level & bench batter angle
Mine Production:
Avoiding Ore and waste dilution.
Segregation of Oversize ROM boulders
