The former MD reportedly arrived the Commission’s Abuja facility at about 10a.m. and had been facing a barrage of questions from the operatives of the anti- corruption agency over his involvement in the sale of the bank to the new owner under a controversial deal, which is being challenged by the founder Erastus Akingbola.
Alabi’s invitation by the EFCC followed a petition by Akingbola, founder and pioneer Managing Director of the bank, who was eased out in the wake of the banking sector reform by former CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who is now the Emir of Kano.
