Ministerial List: Nigerians React To Buhari's Comment

In a recent interview President Muhammadu Buhari dropped a controversial phrase about the yet to be announced ministerial list.

“I don’t know why people are so anxious for the ministers. But eventually we will have them.”

Numerous lists enumerating the likely, alleged and potential candidates have been circulating in the media. Which means Nigerians are really “anxious” about the issue. Apparently, the discussions won’t stop until the appointments are finally made. For The Change programme to be launched full scale.

As for now, see people explaining what the anxiety is all about.

Terver Kelvin (Naij.com): “Eventually when your tenure is over? Those ministers are there for a reason. A presidents success has a remarkable correlation with the success of his ministers. So far am yet to see why I supported Buhari.”

Legato Solar (Naij.com): GEJ hurriedly appointed his cabinet members and ended poorly. GEJ’s plane of government took off quickly but could not land. PMB is an experienced man so he knows what it takes to sort out Nigerians from the hand of bad leaders. So igbos should keep quiet.

Ferdinandu (Nairaland): “Mr Man if you have to be in our shoes you have to be anxious to Know how the Person you appointed to turn around your ailing company will go about turning it around… You said you know the problems and how to fix it before we elected you. Our patience is limited.”

Omenka (Nairaland): “Baba, take your time and do it right once and for all. You have our unflinching support. The people anxious are mostly the enemies of Nigeria who desire to see your downfall and that of the country.”

Kx (Nairaland): “Baba, I am your support but truth be told, I am not anxious for Ministers, I am anxious and yearning for performance and you will agree with me, your Ministers will drive the performance, hence our collective anxiety.”
