CHANGE! Buhari, Osinbajo to take half salary monthly….see why
Considering the financial situation of the country, and in order to arrest the problem, the president of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy Prof. Yemi Osinbajo have decided to take only half of their monthly pay.
The President made his decision known through a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, stating that President Buhari had directed that, ONLY 50% of his monthly salary should be paid to him.
In the same vane, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, had also given the same directive to be paid only 50% of his month salary.
Meanwhile, according to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, the current annual remuneration of Nigeria President is N14,058,820.00. Which means, half of this money would be paid to the President account annually.
This is indeed a grate sacrifice from our leaders, we hope that the sacrifice will be used properly and rightfully.
