The President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has started making use of the broom of his party, All Progressive Congress, APC, to sweep out the mess of the past administration especially in the Department of State Service.
The President, who does take any nonsense sacked his Chief Security Officer, Mr. Abdulrahman Mani yesterday. Mani was fired dragging supremacy with the ADC to President Buhari.
Buhari sacked the former Director-General of the Department of State Service, Ita Ekpeyong last week, Ekpeyong was thereby replaced by Lawan Daura.
It would be recalled that, Mr. Lawan Daura last week redeployed some DSS officials from Presidential Villa, because they (SSS officials) cannot be trusted with any serious assignment. Adding that the same officials openly demonstrated their hatred for the President Buhari and his party during the last administration.
Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Mani on the other hand, ordered the DSS officials to ignore Daura’s order. He said DSS services in the Presidential Villa are backed by gazetted instruments.
Daura has also reversed the unmerited promotions given to some DSS official by the former President, President Goodluck Jonathan, argued that the promotions are not deserved.
