A social crusader and rights activist. Mr. Ebunolu-Olu Adegboruwa has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to appoint ministers as unconstitutional.
He hinged this on the fact that the 1999 constitution expressly states that the President shall appoint ministers with whom he shall hold meetings regularly.
Adegboruwa spoke at the Provincial men’s convention of the Redeemed Christian Church (Lagos Province 22) Ikorodu Lagos held at the weekend.
The lawyer who spoke on the topic: “Nigeria’s leadership and the rights of the ordinary Nigerian” stressed that Buhari needed to appoint ministers to have people to work with.
He stated that the idea of flaunting his pedigree, as a man of integrity was not enough to bring about the needed change.
Adegboruwa, a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) bemoaned the high rate of rights abuses on the increase.
He however said Nigerian especially Christians needed to use the instrumentality of the law to check these abuses.
