Capital One Cup draw: Arsenal to face Tottenham in Capital One Cup third-round tie

Arsenal will travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham in the Capital One Cup next month.

The north London derby is the standout fixture to come out of Tuesday night's third round draw.

Arsenal are looking to win the trophy for the first time since 1993, while Tottenham will be hoping to emulate their more recent success from 2008.

Another tasty fixture to emerge from the draw is the Midlands derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham, which will take place at Villa Park.

Elsewhere, Manchester United will play host to Ipswich Town, while holders Chelsea face a trip to League One outfit Walsall.

Liverpool were drawn to face Carlisle United at Anfield, with Manchester City kicking off their League Cup campaign with a trip to Sunderland.

The ties will be played the week commencing 21st September.
