You won't believe what THE NIGERIA POLICE DID THIS TIME... IN EDO STATE

The story I am about to tell was recently reported to the leaders of Edo Civil Society Organisations of police unprofessional conduct on a Nigerian citizen.

Sometimes in April this year, a young man by the name Wisdom (surname withheld) in Auchi was in his Barber's Shop when two men entered announcing their identity as police officers, they asked him if he knew a certain name they mentioned, he answered yes, that the person tin question is his younger brother, he was asked of his whereabout, he simply told them he does not know, the next thing the police did was to ask him to follow them to the station, when he got into the vehicle, he saw his brother-in-law and his fiancee already arrested.
They were taken to the station, the reason for the arrest was not told to them until in the evening when an officer informed him that, his younger brother they are looking for was about to buy a stolen vehicle. While they were there, the police went to his house to remove all his properties to the station including the prepaid meter on the wall without his presence. His fiancee and his in-law was made to pay N100.000 as bail each after spending two weeks in police detention, himself was asked to bail himself with N500.000, when he could not raise the money, he was charged to court for armed robbery and conspiracy and subsequently remanded to prison where he spent over two months, his case file was sent to DPP for advice and when the case file returned he was cleared not to have any case to answer.
CASE SUMMARY:
1. He is not the suspect, does the law permit one to be punished for the sin of another (maybe i nor sabi book)
2. What is the link between the issue and his personal properties being confiscated?
3. The DPP has exonerated him and said he has no case to answer
4. His properties are currently been used at the police station to the extent of a police officer wearing one of his shoes on duty.
5. He was illegally arrested and detained.
This is a matter Edo Civil Society Organisations is going into fully to get justice for this man inhumanity to man by the Nigeria Police.
I want to quickly use this opportunity to thank those who have been contributing to the course of our interventions for a better society.
Our assurance to you is that, your support for whatever we are doing is enough for us to fight for justice, we have vowed not to run our organisation with government money, we are not politician activists. We believe the people we are fighting for have what it takes to support us. We don't need government money, they should give it to their mouthpiece activists who will be doing their bidding. Comrade Omobude Agho led Edo Civil Society Organisations is too decent for that and we believe in his sincerity of purpose for human rights abuse fight.
We are already deliberating on the best option to getting justice for this young man, I will keep you updated as we make progress.
THE NIGERIA POLICE SHOULD BE MADE TO PAY FOR THIS.
