As part of the process of expanding and strengthening our operations in Nigeria, Plan International Nigeria is seeks to recruit into the following positions:
Job Position: Interns
Report To: Different Programme and Operation Units
Duration: One Year
Remuneration: This is trainee job: Plan International doesn't pay salary to interns, it however provides allowances to cover transport and related costs. Plan International Nigeria will also be responsible for all work related cost.
Purpose: To contribute to developing a strong effective human resource capacity in Nigeria development sector by exposing young, brilliant, dynamic, and passionate
Nigerians to learn about development work through hands on exposure to the works of international development agencies like Plan International. Our intern-ship programme is therefore aimed at providing professional skills and experience for young graduate with interest in developing a career in development work.
Plan International Nigeria Intern ship programme is therefore for individuals interested in careers in intentional development work. We give young graduate a chance to do real-world research, learn the workings of humanitarian and development agencies and gain exposure to different dimensions of non-profit management staff.
Key Responsibility:
Support the programme and operational units of the organisation. the full range of work areas may include research, documentation, administration, programme
development, financial management, community engagement, staff security among others. You are expected to work in a team under the supervision of senior staff.
Knowledge, Skill, Behaviours, and Competencies Required:
A first degree in social sciences. natural science, humanities, and law. Or any other degree that is considered relevant to development sector.
NOT MORE THAN THREE YEARS post first degree.
Passion for development and humanitarian work and experience in volunteering, student activism, NGO or Communication development.
Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
Creativity, innovation and interpersonal skills.
Good writing, editing and reviewing skill - fluent in the English
Good numeric and financial management skills
Strong negotiation, facilitating and influencing skills
Ability to work in multicultural, racial and religious team
Good ICT skills - use of basic applications and social media savvy
