Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday, berated Governor Nyesom Wike and his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over a documentary being aired by African Independent Television, AIT, to allegedly dent the image of the former governor of the state, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.
The party described the documentary as highly obnoxious and evil.
A statement by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone, said it was not surprised that the medium for airing the documentary was the same AIT that angered decent Nigerians with documentaries that disparaged the present President of Nigeria and his family members just to ensure Nigerians did not vote for him.
According to him, “The present documentary is simply aimed at driving a wedge between President Muhammadu Buhari and the former governor by blackmailing Buhari from having a place in his government for Amaechi.”
“The APC believes that just as the blackmail against Buhari was ignored by Nigerians and they massively voted for him, so President Buhari having himself been a victim of PDP and AIT documentary terrorism will discountenance the dirt the PDP and AIT are trying so hard to pour on a honest, sincere and courageous Rotimi Amaechi.”
