President Muhamamadu Buhari is about
deploying 8 000 peace keepers to the 36 States and the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT), with the mandate to ensure the enthronement of peace in
the country.
He said no meaningful development can take place in any country without peace.
The president, who spoke at the passing
out parade of the peace corps in Abuja, was represented by Mr. Biodun
Oladunjoye, an Assistant Director in the presidency who also stood in
for the Special Adviser on Communication, Mr. Femi Adesina.
