The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole has been accused of choosing the entire cabinet members for Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki in November 2016.

A member of APC Jefferson Uwoghiren made the accusation on Channels’ Sunrise Daily on June 19, 2019.

“Oshiomhole chose all the cabinet members for Edo governor except the Commissioner for Justice.”
He was speaking on the crisis rocking the ruling party in the state following the controversy surrounding the manner in which a few members of the state’s legislature were sworn in on June 18.
According to PM News, the inauguration was done behind closed doors. It was gathered that nine members were sworn in instead of 24 members-elect.
The Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the governor, Crusoe Osagie, in a statement said only members who made themselves available were sworn in.
It was gathered that the Assembly inauguration actually took place at about 9.30 pm, presided over by the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Audu Yahaya Omogbai.
