Close associates of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari have disclosed five different proposed laws which are to be employed as weapons in the President’s fight against corruption. The sources reported that the the vice-president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) leads a special committee of legends in law, this committee has identified the bills and have passed them on to the President for further scrutiny and approval. It is expected that the President’s assent to the bills would officially signal the administration’s expected fight against corruption.

BREAKDOWN: Nigeria’s National Assembly (NASS) Outrageous Allowances In Numbers June


It has been revealed that next week, the National Assembly members will receiving a total sum of N8.64billion as wardrobe allowance. This is different from other allowances they are entitled to which include housing and vehicle allowances. Each of 360 House of Representatives members is to get N17.5Million as wardrobe allowance while each member of the senate (109 senators) is entitled to N21.5million. While the wardrobe allowance covers the their whole tenure as legislators for a period of 4 years, housing allowances are paid yearly.
