Gunmen Kill 19 In Fresh Plateau Attacks
From 8 to 19 people were reportedly killed in the gunmen attacks on several villages located in Plateau State.
The Leadership identified the affected villages are Rim and Jol, Riyom LGA, putting the number of casualties to at least 19, with reference to the anonymous source.

Meanwhile PM News claims that one more village, Bachit, was also involved, adding that the total number of people killed in the attacks corresponds at least 8.
Speaking with the Leadership, a source that pleaded anonymity revealed that the gunmen invaded the area around 1.30am yesterday and started shooting sporadically.
According to the source, 6 members of the Special Task Force (STF) were among those killed.
However Army STF spokesperson in the state Captain Ikedichi Iweha told to PM News:
“Eight people, including three STF personnel, died in the gun battle. Many houses were burnt including a church.”
Riyom official Daniel Dem confirmed the attacks characterizing the development as “unfortunate”.
Yesterday we reported about Wednesday morning attacks on two more communities, Gako and Tanjol, in the same LGA of the state, as a result of which at least 6 people lost their lives and 2 churches were burnt.
