Meanwhile, it could be recalled that it was reported yesterday, 11 June, 2014, that there was tension in the ancient city of Kano over speculations that President Goodluck Jonathan was allegedly planning to nullify the appointment of former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano.
Some few hours after, a source within the Presidency in Abuja, news men that the Nigerian police have been ordered to arrest the newly-crowned Emir of Kano.
The source said Sanusi is to be arrested on fraud-related charges starting from his tenure as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
