The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria are the latest beneficiaries of the state government’s intervention programmes.
Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettima, in a ceremony, gave out 450 Sienna buses to transport workers at 50 per cent subsidized rate.
Governor Shettima applaudsed the bravery of those in the transport business, for their courage amidst insurgent activities.
The Governor also cautioned residents against traveling to their home towns for the general elections, adding that designated polling units in makeshift camps would serve the same purpose.
