What "Change" Means - Osinbajo

The vice president-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has shed more light on what the word “Change”, which is the slogan of the All Progressives Congress (APC), truly means.
According to Professor Osinbajo, the word change is not just a campaign slogan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as many have suggested.

The pastor of the Olive Tree House of Prayer for All Nations, a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) parish, stated that change is something that will work when Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) is sworn-in on May 29.

The vice-president, who thanked Nigerians for supporting APC candidates in the governorship and state House of Assembly elections held on Saturday, also urged the party zealots to do the same in the run-off elections to be held in Abia, Imo and Taraba.

He advised all successful candidates of the APC to listen to the clarion call of the people, saying it was time to join hands with the electorate to build the states and nation Nigerians have always dreamed of.

This clarification comes from the vice president-elect weeks after the first lady of Nigeria, Mrs Patience Jonathan told women at Orerokpe, Okple local government area of Delta that “The PDP is a party that talks less and does more, unlike the APC that tells new lies every week. When you catch them today, they will tell another lie tomorrow. We (PDP) do not tell you about change because we are not bus conductors that ask for change”.

Osinbajo who also tacitly countered President Goodluck Jonathan’s defence on his famous phrase “Stealing is not corruption” after a presidential media chat held on February 11, looked to have just given more clarification on what “Change” truly means, hence countering Dame Jonathan’s supposed stance on the definition of the word.
