LEAKED!!! How ICPC Nabbed Five Directors Of The Niger Delta Ministry For Looting N605m

Five Directors of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs have been charged by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission with offences of defrauding the ministry to the tune of N605m. The sum which was said to have been looted between July 2013 and October 2014. 


It was reported that 46 counts of fraud related charges have been brought up against the accused directors before the Justice Huseini Baba of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja on July 7, 2015.

Mr Paul Ahmed who is the ICPC’s Chief Legal Officer, was the one who signed the charges, said that the directors looted the sum of N605m from the Constituency Project Account.

The accused persons are Yusuf Agabi (Director of Finance and Account), Akpore Okeroghene (Deputy Director of Finance), Abibu Ayinla (Director of Finance), Idowu Adewale (Deputy Director, Accounts) and Ngozi James (Deputy Director, Accounts). The accused persons who under fraudulent claims looted money from the Project Account of the Niger Delta Ministry. They are all in custody of the ICPC now.
