Reports have confirmed the arrest of the Former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) at his private residence in Asokoro, Abuja yesterday.
The Former National Security Adviser is in trouble now, it was reported that ex-NSA Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) was arrested by the operatives of the Directorate of State Services (DSS)yesterday night in his private residence in Abuja.
It was reported that DSS operatives led by Mohammed, stormed Col Sambo Dasuki’s Asokoro residence in four Hilux vans. The DSS operatives insisted on seeing Dasuki. This happens around 6:45pm yesterday.
It was gathered that the military boys guarding the Dasuki residence resisted the DSS operatives from gaining entrance into the premises, which almost prompted the DSS to threaten to force their way in. Meanwhile, it was reported that the same scenario played out in Sokoto, at the residence of the former NSA’s father, Ibrahim Dasuki, who is a former Sultan of Sokoto. DSS operatives were said to have stormed the residence of Ibrahim Dasuki also, searching for Sambo Dasuki. It was reported that the DSS operatives were thorough in their search for the ex-NSA in Ibrahim Dasuki’s residence, as all the occupants of the residence were said to have been locked away before the DSS agents begin their comprehensive search of the residence looking for the ex-NSA. It was reported that the DSS operatives prevent occupants of the residence to go in or out during this search.
It was later gathered that the reason for the invasion of the ex-NSA’s residence is because of the planned probe of the defence budget and many other alleged abuses of office by the immediate-past service chiefs who were sacked this week. Reports have it that the Former National Security Adviser was later taken away by the DSS later yesterday night. He was said to be taken to one of the DSS facilities in Abuja for interrogation.
