Vice President Yemi Osinbajo held a meeting with the National Economic Council (NEC) comprising of state governors on Thursday, August 20.

The meeting which started at about past 11 a.m. held at the Council Chamber of the presidential villa, Abuja, Daily Trust reports.
The governors in attendance include those of Zamfara, Kwara, Kebbi, Plateau, Anambra, Jigawa, Adamawa, Kano, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Benue, Ebonyi, Taraba, Sokoto, Imo and Lagos States.
Among the deputy governors present at the meeting are those of Kogi and Nasarawa States.

Yesterday, Osinbajo had lamented how poor Nigerians are. He said statistics available to him displayed that 110 million Nigerians are poor and that represented two-third of the country’s population.
