The Nigerian Army has assured Nigerians that the spate of kidnappings, armed robbery and even the Boko Haram menace will soon be a thing of the past in the country.
Declaring open the 9th training conference for the Nigerian Army Finance Corps (NAFC), the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Enugu, Major General Olayinka Olaniyi, said the conference would help the military find ways to manage its resources.
The conference was held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.
Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ihejirika, represented by Major General Olaniyi disclosed that the effort of NAFC through this training would go a long way in the transformation efforts of Nigerian Army to tackle its numerous security challenges through judicious management of resources.
In his address, Governor Theodore Orji hinted that the partnership and collaboration with the Nigerian Army has assisted the nascent democracy of the country and has helped the state to sustain its economic growth by ensuring that peace and security thrive.
The three-day training is aimed at providing the opportunity for Nigerian Army departments to review their performance and identify areas that require improvement.
