The Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, has expelled some associates and aides of President Goodluck Jonathan, over alleged anti-party activities.
The party in a statement through Serena Dokubo-Spiff , the state acing chairman on Tuesday, May 26, said the decision was reached after the members were discovered to have worked against the interest of the party in the 2015 general elections.
The party according to Vanguard, said those at the national level, who were culpable would be referred to the national body of the PDP for further disciplinary measures.
Reaction to the verdict, one of the expelled members, Mr. Dudafa, faulted the party for arriving at its decision.
He alleged that the whole saga was orchestrated by the incumbent governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, who he said was accustomed to acting with impunity.
