BREAKING!!! Buhari Approved Dissolution With Immediate Effect Of Boards Of Parastatals, Agencies And Institutions
Today in a statement credited to the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, he said that President Buhari has given his approval to dissolve the boards of Federal Parastatals, Agencies and Institutions.
Mr Femi Adesina said the dissolution was with immediate effect from July 16, 2015. He also added that “until the boards are reconstituted, Chief Executive Officers of the affected parastatals, agencies and institutions are to refer all matters requiring the attention of their boards to the president through the permanent secretaries of their supervising ministries.”
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity added that the dissolution does not affect Federal Executive bodies listed in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it only affects administrative or technical committees and other similar organs that are established by the boards.
