President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, August 11, met with National peace committee for the 2015 general election led by Abdusalami Abubakar, a former Head of State.
Recall, Buhari and his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan signed peace agreements before the March 28 presidential poll at the instance of the committee.
Today’s meeting is coming several days after GEJ visited the incumbent leader secretly on August 6, Thursday and another meeting with ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo on August 7.
The participants of the meeting are – Buhari, Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III; the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh.
